As for the poor soldiers and the lac'd-coat fools their
officers, I leave them to answer for themselves, and shall
finish this essay with the following lines.
Cosby the mild, the happy, good and great,
The strongest guard of our little state;
Let malecontents in crabbed language write,
And the d---b h----s beleb, tho' they cannot bite:
His unconcern'd will let the wretches roar,
And govern just, as others did before.
